Installing from TAR Images |
|
The original installation format for BackupEDGE was the .tar image. It has been maintained for backward compatibility. Generally, .elf files are easier to install since they automatically select the current directory, etc.
To install from a TAR image:
- Download the .tar file and transfer it to your UNIX / Linux machine.
- Log in as root.
- # cd / (Be sure not to skip this step!)
- # tar xvf filename_of_tarfile
- #
/tmp/init.edge
Installation will then begin. |
