Installing from .elf Self-Extracting Archives |
|
.elf files are self-extracting UNIX / Linux executables. If you have internet access directly from your UNIX / Linux
machine(s), or can transfer files from a system on your network that has internet access, this installation method is probably the easiest to use.To install BackupEDGE from a .elf file, do the following:
- Download the .elf file and transfer it to your UNIX / Linux machine. We'll use /tmp/edgesc71.elf for this example.
- # chmod +x /tmp/edgesc71.elf
- # /tmp/edgesc71.elf
Installation will then begin. |
